For today’s Friday Foods, I’m digging through the recipe box to bring out one of my “signature” cookie recipes. When I share this with friends, I get lots of compliments. I even shared it recently with one of my pen pals in Canada to try! The yummy recipe is for Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies.
3 cups Quick Oats
2 cups Flour
1 1/4 cups Sugar
1 tsp Baking Powder
1 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Baking Soda
2 cups Chocolate Chips
1 cup Oil (original recipe says corn, but vegetable is fine)
1/2 cup Milk
Preheat oven to 400F. Combine dry ingredients in large bowl. Then combine wet ingredients in same bowl. Form cookies on greased cookie sheets. Bake until browned on top or around 8 minutes.
That’s it! You’ll have plenty of Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies to enjoy. I like trying them with dark chocolate chips, too.
